MANA O TE ĀTUA
MANA O TE ĀTUA
Our tamariki are using natural plants and bees wax wraps to make soap and rongoā. The purpose is to celebrate tikanga and our natural resources that our Ātua provide.
Our tamariki are using tititorea in the wharenui o te marae o Houngarea. They are acknowledging their tipuna and tikanga as they practice in the wharenui.
Our tamariki are learning new rugby skills with Matua Jack. They are practicing their passing and catching skills. Playing rugby is fun and great for the wairua of our tamariki.
Our tamariki often set up Houngarea marae for the arrival of different pōwhiri. The purpose is to ensure that our manuhiri feels comfortable when they arrive as well as to be there for our marae and our whanau whānui.
